ISO 15504 SPICE Application Steps

Companies that want to obtain ISO/IEC 15504 (or ISO/IEC 33002) SPICE certificate are expected to apply to our company by completing the following steps.

First of all, the company must show that it works in accordance with SPICE criteria in at least 1 project during the product evaluation. Therefore, it must operate and prove all steps towards the SPICE standard in at least 1 project. According to the structure and working style of the companies, this harmony can be achieved within 1 to 4 months as optimum. In order to carry out this process in a healthier and faster way, it may be preferable for companies to receive consultancy services.

The company that is ready to obtain ISO 15504 (or ISO 33002) certification can apply to the CERTBY certification body with the Proposal Request Form. An application should be made to the customer representative by e-mail by filling out the relevant form.

Certby Customer Representative receives and examines the application, and if he/she deems it necessary, he/she contacts the company and requests further information and concludes the application. At this stage, a price offer is also submitted and other contract forms are signed mutually if accepted.

The assessment date and assessment agenda of the company whose application has been examined and whose product evaluation has been accepted are determined. At this stage, the firm and the Lead Auditor (or a designated expert) may hold a planning meeting if deemed necessary.

Assessment is carried out in accordance with the assessment agenda on the planned days and hours. As a result of the evaluation, the assessment report is submitted to the company.

The Certification Committee convenes for the company that is entitled to receive a certificate as a result of the evaluation. After the positive decision of the committee, the relevant document is prepared and sent to the company by mail and the process is completed.
