However, ISO 33061, which replaced this standard, addresses software process assessments and process improvement methodologies in a more advanced and comprehensive way. ISO 33061 allows organizations to manage, monitor and continuously improve their software processes more efficiently, while also helping them achieve a strong position in the global competitive environment.
This article comprehensively covers the steps that companies with ISO 15504-5 certification need to take during the transition process to ISO 33061. During the transition process, organizations must first evaluate their current situation, identify incompatibilities in their old processes, reconsider their configurations, and implement new methods. Continuous improvement and training are also an integral part of the transition process. SPICE aims to evaluate the maturity levels of software development processes and to ensure the continuous improvement of these processes. It has an important place in process improvement and talent determination, especially in the software industry.

 

ISO 15504-5 is a standard developed for the purpose of evaluating and improving software processes, and over time this standard has been restructured as ISO 33061. This transition process provides a new framework that will enable organizations to evaluate their software processes more effectively and efficiently. We can say that ISO 33061 constitutes a significant change for companies working on software projects and holding ISO 15504-5 certification.
